"An Altman-esque take on the medical profession that I find as fresh and entertaining as it is original. Very funny, heartfelt, and creative." Thomas Mahoney, Producer "The 7th Claus", "Shadow Play"

"A work of love and a treat for the viewer....worth seeing and highly recommended.""-Cary Conley, Rogue Cinema

Milk and Cookie Productions is proud to present its second film, the dramatic ensemble short, “Skin and Bone.”

Produced entirely in Boston, Massachusetts with a microbudget of $500, and an all-volunteer cast and crew, Skin and Bone is a definitively independent film close to our hearts, as healthcare workers and as filmmakers.

The film focuses on ties between healthcare workers, patients, and their families in a large hospital, and is an honest, compelling, and rare view of life and death in a catheterization lab.

It serves as an homage to one of the largest industries in Boston – medicine – and places a spotlight on the complex nature of illness and care.

We hope people enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
